Hello Spring Mini

Well.... it's my turn to play again over on the Little Yellow Bicycle blog and there are some FUN things to be seen today!  You don't want to miss out!  Myself and a few other Biker Chicks each created mini albums using the Hello Spring line.

Guest Blogger at ScrapbookSteals.com

I am so excited to be a guest blogger over at ScrapbookSteals.com today!
Have you been there?  Have you seen all the awesome
scrapbooking supplies you can get for super prices?
I have to admit I was beyond excited when I ripped into my package of goodies
and saw what line I was lucky enough to be working with....
ECHO PARK HELLO SUMMER!

I’m a HUGE Echo Park fan like so many others of you out there.  But their “Hello Summer” line is for sure in my Top 3 favorites!!! I’m a sucker for the color palette they used and all the happy and bright images that can’t help but make your projects fun!

For my main project I chose to create a fun summer banner that I cut out of ¼" wood then altered.  The sweet little banner border sticker in this set was what inspired me!  Once I cut five banners from wood using my scroll saw, I drilled the holes to thread the twine through and painted them white. Next I covered the fronts with some of the fabulous papers from “Hello Summer” and then went to work adding all the fun embellishments. Last I threaded the dark brown hemp/jute through the banners to pull it together and make it hang. This was a super fun and easy project.

(Be sure to see bottom of this post for info on ordering your own wood banners.)

It's no secret that I’m a BIG fan of card making too!  I couldn’t help but create a few sweet summery greetings with this line as well.  With all the cute journaling cards and fun stickers... putting together a few cards was a cinch!  Hope these make you smile!

Okay.... I thought that there might be a few of you who will want to create or alter your own wood banner so I made the sets available in my ETSY Shop.  Be sure to purchase your Echo Park Hello Summer kits from ScrapbookSteals.com but if you want a fun wood banner to decorate CLICK HERE to purchase one.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Swoon

So I've been slacking big time on the blogging.  I'm struggling a bit with finding a "routine" if you will now that we are living with family temporarily.  I also find myself fighting for the computer time with my teenagers.  I can't be the only one right?  LOL

ANyhoooo..... I had my first projects as a Biker Chick featured over on the Little Yellow Bicycle blog back on the 11th.  CLICK HERE to see the whole post.  Love this line called "Swoon".  So beautiful.  Here's my two cards I created for the post that day.....

I also wanted to share some super sweet photos I snapped of Brody and Chloe at our Ward Easter party.  They had so much fun and I can't wait to scrap these and share.  I know exactly what I'm doing with them.  Yay me!  Okay.... just a quick post today.  Be back lots sooner this time!

April Card Kit Peeks and Angry Bird Party

Here are the peeks for the April card kits.
I absolutely love creating cards in April because I can prepare for Mother's Day and get away with lots of girly cards.  Hee hee...
I should have about 4-5 extra kits this month so if you'd like one please email me at shannavineyard@gmail.com

I can't believe I let April 2nd slip by without doing a birthday post for my big Brody Boy.  He turned 4yrs old and my head is seriously spinning at how fast he's growing every day!  I will share some photos I took of him really soon.  But until then I will show you the fun things I created for his Angry Bird themed party.  He was SOOOOO excited!!!  The kid is completely obsessed with anything Angry Bird.

I was inspired to create a "Pig Bowling" game after seeing something similar on Pinterest.  So I painted some cans like the pigs and also painted an Angry Bird face on a red bouncy ball.
Another thing we did was go on an egg hunt.  Since eggs are a vital part of Angry Birds we filled some plastic eggs with toys and candy then hid them everywhere for the kids to find.  I added faces to the red treat bags you can see in this photo so the kids had something to hold their eggs in.  It also served as the "Goodie Bags" so the kids went home with something fun.
Another game I had prepared to play and created a stack of noses for was this "Pin the nose on the Pig" game.  But the kids had so much fun that we totally spaced even getting this out.  LOL

The last thing I want to share that I also ran across on Pinterest is this AWESOME CUTE FANTASTIC free Angry Bird kit.  Very, very kind of Sherry to share her talents with the world.  It was perfect for decorating.  The banner turned out amazing and Brody was sooooo impressed with Momma.  LOL  Anyhooo...  Thanks for stopping by!
