Guest Blogger at ScrapbookSteals.com

I am so excited to be a guest blogger over at ScrapbookSteals.com today!
Have you been there?  Have you seen all the awesome
scrapbooking supplies you can get for super prices?
I have to admit I was beyond excited when I ripped into my package of goodies
and saw what line I was lucky enough to be working with....
ECHO PARK HELLO SUMMER!

I’m a HUGE Echo Park fan like so many others of you out there.  But their “Hello Summer” line is for sure in my Top 3 favorites!!! I’m a sucker for the color palette they used and all the happy and bright images that can’t help but make your projects fun!

For my main project I chose to create a fun summer banner that I cut out of ¼" wood then altered.  The sweet little banner border sticker in this set was what inspired me!  Once I cut five banners from wood using my scroll saw, I drilled the holes to thread the twine through and painted them white. Next I covered the fronts with some of the fabulous papers from “Hello Summer” and then went to work adding all the fun embellishments. Last I threaded the dark brown hemp/jute through the banners to pull it together and make it hang. This was a super fun and easy project.

(Be sure to see bottom of this post for info on ordering your own wood banners.)

It's no secret that I’m a BIG fan of card making too!  I couldn’t help but create a few sweet summery greetings with this line as well.  With all the cute journaling cards and fun stickers... putting together a few cards was a cinch!  Hope these make you smile!

Okay.... I thought that there might be a few of you who will want to create or alter your own wood banner so I made the sets available in my ETSY Shop.  Be sure to purchase your Echo Park Hello Summer kits from ScrapbookSteals.com but if you want a fun wood banner to decorate CLICK HERE to purchase one.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
