I created something!

Sooooo.... Life has been super crazy but super GOOD crazy!  I'm grateful for my busy life with lots of family commitments and work stuff going on and when I do get a little down time I have a hubby who loves to still take me on dates.  Life is FULL and this is something I am blessed by.  I don't have any complaints..... but there's always the but.... Right???  Mine is small but meaningful.  I miss my scrappy time. I miss creating things with my hands. One of my goals this year is to make sure I create something... even if it's small.. once a week.  This is my soul food and it's one of my happy places.  So it NEEDS to happen. And I'm excited to make sure it does!

Now... just because I GET SOMETHING CREATED doesn't mean it will always make it here to my blog but I am super excited to have found a new place online that provides the right motivation and challenges so I have more of a desire to share my creations!!!  That place is called....  MFT (My Favorite Things) Challenge & Inspiration Blog.    Go check them out!!  I created two cards using a couple of their stamp sets but didn't get them posted in time to qualify for the prize drawings but that's okay!!! This momma is just over the moon excited she got something created! HA!!!!!

This fun card I created for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge 211 and their Design Team always has amazing samples to share using the sketch also!  Here's my take on it.... I couldn't help myself with adding some tulle to her little tutu. I love texture and this little girl stamp just makes me happy!!!  You can find her here in the MFT store. Pure Innocence Sassitude set.   Then the awesome sentiment set that I used next to her is called Chalkboard Greetings Too and I'm in love with it!  I am a sucker for mixing fonts and anything inspiring and this set is all of that!!

Okay.... the other card I created was for a Color Challenge they also do on their blog.  This one runs twice a month so you have plenty of time to create then share your creation!  I wanted to use the same sentiment stamp set Chalkboard Greetings Too on this....  I'm a sucker for anything inspirational!!  I struggled with finding product in my scrappy stash to use on this... plus I was super crunched for time so I just made the base of this card digitally then printed it and glued it to the white cardstock. Added the ribbon and that stamped sentiment and I was done.  I am sharing the base if you want to save it and use it yourself on a card.  Just copy and paste it into Word and resize how you need it then print!  Easy peasy!

Okay.... yay!!!!  I created and BLOGGED in the same week!!! Feeling all kinds of accomplished and productive!!!  Woot! Woot!  Can't wait to share more here soon!!!  Oh!!!! And before I go I need to share this fun collage I made of my beautiful Cassidy who turned 13 years old yesterday!  So much good stuff going on in life!  Have a great weekend everyone!  xoxo
