Settling in and getting Scrappy

Well..... we got moved out to Arizona okay and it's been awesome settling in and reconnecting with friends and family.  Shane found a job that we're grateful to have.  The hours aren't all that great but we are happy to be employed. :) The girls start at their new school on Monday and things will finally get back to somewhat "normal".  Thanks for all the prayers and emails in our behalf. You're the best!

So you know I wouldn't survive mentally around here if I wasn't creating a bit.  It's my outlet.  My thing.  And I did a bit of it this week.  I scrapped a traditional layout using the "Saturdays" line by Little Yellow Bicycle.  Love the colors in it and they went perfectly with these photos I took of this sweet girl Savannah!  The white border along the top is one I hand cut and then the hemp was fun to twist and staple to make some hearts and the word LIFE.

I also made this card......

And this fun digital invitation for Brody's upcoming 4th birthday party.  Here's a link to the freebie kit I found online to create this with!  Pretty awesome and so nice of her to share!

Oh!!! And I was asked to help out with the March samples for Page Maps with the rest of the Spellbinders team using Becky's new line of dies!  Here's the card I created and a link to the rest of the cards and sketches

And one more all-digital card I created using the elements from my new kit

Okay...... off to play some more with my family.  Shane has the day off today so we are heading over to my cousin's house to have dinner and play some cards.  Woot!  We also went to the movies with the kids and saw the Lorax.  The kids loved it.  Hope ya'll have a great weekend!  Hugs!

It's a new Release PARTY! Today and all month long!

WELCOME!!!
I am sooo glad you are here.  Especially TODAY!!!
I've been dying to share with the scrappy world a new little design adventure that is super close to my creative heart!

In case you didn't know this about me, not only do I LOVE scrapbooking.... I also have a life-long love of drawing and painting.  It wasn't until recently that it came to me I could COMBINE the two loves!!!  That's how this kit for digital or paper scrapbooking came to be!  (Please forgive my many exclamation marks in this post as I am over-the-moon excited!)

As my family nears a much anticipated move back home to Arizona, this kit was completely inspired by home..... and so it's called
"Home is Where the Heart Is"

$8.50

There are over 50 hand-drawn and hand-painted images in this kit. Because these images were not originally created digitally, this makes them so fun and different than most kits out there. I also created several circle sentiments that are easy to use on your layouts and especially cards!  I haven't been digital scrapbooking very long but because my heart and hands long to "play" with paper and scissors I created this kit with BOTH the digital and traditional scrapbooker in mind.

Here are a few projects I created.

This first layout is all digital.

And then..... so you could see how easy it is to use these elements to create a traditional PAPER scrapbook page.... I recreated the SAME layout but this time printed the images and paper-scrapped them!!

Here's a photo I took of the images after I printed them onto white cardstock and cut them out leaving a tiny white border.  Having a digital file that you can easily copy and paste into Word and size how you wish adds so much value to the product.  Plus, you can use it over and over again!

Here are some cards I created using the same process.  Just copy and paste the images into Word, resize, then print onto cardstock,
cut out and CREATE!! EASY PEASY!
The creative possibilities are endless!!

So what do you think so far?  Pretty dang cute right?
Well, the party is just getting started!  I've asked some of my very FAVORITE scrapbookers in the industry to help me out with some projects using my kit so you would absolutely fall in love with it if you haven't already!
Each one of them was gracious enough to share their talents and share their projects on their blogs.  Here's a list of designers that will inspire you even more!  Please leave them some LOVE but don't go anywhere because I have a HUGE PRIZE drawing going on and LOTS of ways to win!
